This song has always been one of the songs that I keep dear to my heart. Its a professed trust and faith in the Most High. A dependency declared by any individual who knows his or her place in the Lord God. It is brought together by the expectancy of what is to come and that is to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
As you listen, think of the words and put it in your heart and learn it. Its 6 full verses but I didn’t have to memorize it as it just embedded itself through the melody. Every time I find myself caught in a rut or just any difficulty or depressed feeling of any sort where I don’t seem to feel any urge to pray or just tired of the struggles and failures that happened to me, I sing this song. It gives me a boost and an encouragement to strive and endure. It reminds me of my Shepherd who carries me and takes care of me, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. He never leaves me nor forsakes me. This should be any believer’s song facing any hungry lion inside the arena of life.
play – Psalm 23 The Lord is My Shepherd
@Sound Check> This first recorded version of the song was made on September 07, 2012. There were a few other versions of the psalm using different tempos and styles before I received this one, but when I heard this playing for the first time, I knew this was it. Its been the melody I kind of stuck and played with the longest time. It has now changed to a bit of a ‘stabilized” version, this was after I got used to the strumming pattern, this is that latest recording I finally did in November 2013.
